Undeniably, the biggest side event of this year’s festival is the performance of Pet Shop Boys, on August 13th at Forum Karlin.
The Prague Pride opening ceremony at Containall will be kicked off by the New York band Betty, known from the legendary TV series about lesbians „L Word“. Czech viewers had a chance to watch it recently on private channel Prima TV.
Saturday Parade
The rainbow colored Parade through the historical center of Prague is again the highlight of Prague Pride. Participants will gather at noon on Saturday, August 16th right under the statue of St. Wenceslas at the top of Wenceslas Square. At 1PM the march will start its route through Prikopy and Revolucni street, via Rasnovka to Dvorakovo nabrezi where across Cechuv Bridge all will take the steps up to Letna Park. Just as last year, the organizers of the Parade are expecting over 20,000 participants.
